For surgery both site evaluations were over zoom. I appreciated this, because it meant that I was able to return to my clinical work immediately after the meeting. During both my evaluations I was also the only student, I got individual tailored feedback to my performance. 

I presented eight SOAP notes, four at the first and four at the second meeting. I liked presenting SOAP notes because it meant I got to discuss more cases with the site evaluator which was beneficial to my education because I chose eight different patient presentations so we got to speak about all different clinical scenarios. 

For my journal article I presented an article in conjunction with my SOAP note of a patient presenting with suspected temporal arteritis. The patient in question was being treated by medicine, but they requested a surgery consultation for the temporal artery biopsy. I was able to scrub into that procedure. The article discussed the utilization of a temporal artery biopsy for diagnosis of temporal arteritis.
